We love involving children in church life. We run age groups from 0-14 during Sunday meetings and  a Stay and Play group on Fridays.

Sundays for Children

On a usual Sunday morning the children start by being in the main meeting with the rest of the church. Early on in the meeting there is a children's slot.

The children's slot is presented by one of 6 'Characters' who aim to help the children learn about Jesus in a way that is fun, understandable and engaging.

.All children from 0 – 14 can then go out to their age-specific groups.

All the children's groups are staffed by DBS checked leaders. We have registration forms to make sure we have any necessary information and emergency contact details. You can then leave them to have a great time in their group while you can enjoy the main meeting!

Christ Church Babies (0 – 2 years)

We run a staffed crèche where you can leave your little ones to play under the careful supervision of our leaders.

If you don’t want to leave your child, we also have a travel cot and play mat in the canteen where you can watch over them. This area has a speaker so that you can still hear what’s going on in the meeting.

Christ Church Tots (2 – 4 years)

The January, May or September after your child turns two they will move up to Tots! In Tots your child will get a drink of water or squash and a snack of raisins or other fruit, as well as a Bible lesson packed full of games, craft and fun!

Christ Church Mini-Kids (4-7 years)

In the September when your child starts Reception in school, they will move up to Mini-Kids at Christ Church. In Mini-Kids they will get to learn from the Bible in fun, age-appropriate ways including crafts, games, stories and other activities.

Christ Church Kids (7-11 years)

When they start children move up to Christ Church Kids. Here, our children are encouraged to think more thoroughly about the Bible and what it means for them. This is done through great interactive teaching, drama, fun activities and discussion.

yConnect (11-14 years)

For children who have started secondary school our yConnect group runs on two out of every three sundays, here they will have the chance to dig deeper into what christainity means for them, and ask any questions that they like.
