Through Hope Café we've got to know many people who are in this country due to instability or persecution in their home countries.

Last year a number of people from church had a great time hosting individuals and families who are seeking asylum or are refugees, for a Christmas meal. We would love to help make it happen again!

We're here to help match anyone who'd like to host, to answer any questions and to give ideas for having a great time together.

We're inviting you to host refugees and people seeking asylum who are regular visitors (friends) of Hope Café that we have built up a relationship with.

It's your choice! We could match you with individuals as well as families.

We recommend hosting lunch on Christmas Day.

It's a wonderful way to spend Christmas Day!

The traditional Christmas dinner may be a new experience for most of them, but don’t let that stop you. They might love it!

Once you sign up, you will be matched with guests and will then be contacted with any specific food requirements they may have.

We would encourage you not to let the food aspect be a source of stress, and know that love and hospitality goes beyond language and culture.

We will match you up with guests!

Please don’t worry about language barriers, there are several good translation apps you could use.

You could play games that need no language skills like Jenga, Uno, Chinese Chequers etc.

It would be very helpful if you could drive/ walk your guests from and to their accommodation.

We can help you plan the day and/or offer any help and advice you need.
