Whether Christian, exploring, of another faith or of none, we host a wide variety of groups that can meet your community building needs. From social groups gathering around a common interest to welcome lunched, weekly small groups to intentional faith-based friendships, there is something here for you.
If you are new to the area or to Christ Church, the best places for you to start are ‘The Hub’ and one of our ‘Welcome Lunches’.

Connect groups are communities of people who meet weekly throughout Liverpool and are made up of people from all walks of life.
Every group does things a bit differently, but each looks at the bible together, and supports and prays for one another.
We believe God created us to live in community with other people, and not just with people who are similar to us, but with people from all stages of life and backgrounds.
Living out faith in God shouldn't be something we work out on our own; it's in the context of meaningful relationships that we learn and grow in faith.
God himself is a community; He is Father, Spirit and Jesus, the Son. They display perfect love; love that isn’t selfish or demanding, but giving and generous.
In our Connect Groups, we are learning to do the same!
We want everyone to have a life giving community where they are.
Maurice coordinates Connect groups, so if you'd like to get involved then you can email him using the button below!
We want to be building community in church life and in Liverpool, and connecting people with similar interests is one way we can! This page is meant to help network people in our church or contacts of people in our church with similar interests to create more connection.
We've realised people in church have many interests and hobbies and are connected to many different groups in Liverpool, we've asked if they'd be happy to be contacted through here.
These aren't official "Church groups" at all, but an easy way for putting different people in touch who might not connect otherwise.
Whether you're already involved with one of these activities, or would like to start, do get in touch with the person, they'll be very happy to hear from you.
Would you like to give kayaking a go? Or are you already into kayaking?
Hi I'm Lindsay (I’m second from the right in the photo!) and a number of us at Christ Church love spending time kayaking.
We go on occasional trips where we can invite friends. We're not qualified instructors, just a group of friends, although a few of us are members of Liverpool Canoe Club. We really enjoy getting to meet lots of new people through being involved with the Liverpool Canoe Club.
If you're interested, I'd love to hear from you!
Are you a football fan and want to connect with others who are?
Hello! I'm Sam and I set up a Fantasy Football league a few years ago. Fantasy Football is a game in which you pick a team of Premier League players, the better the players you pick play at the weekend in real life, the more points you score.
Over the past couple of years our Fantasy Football league has become increasingly competitive, thanks to a WhatsApp group we use to have banter at the expense of each other's terrible scores!
There is also a lot of general football chat and we use it to organise watching games together when we can. It has been a great way to get to know others at church, as well as those who are a part of the league but have moved away from Liverpool.
If you would like to join our league for this season, do get in touch
We have a Discord server!
If you enjoy playing games with others on any kind of platform, join our server to game with others in our church. We have channels for PC, Xbox, Playstation and Nintendo and welcome all kinds of games.
Alice is the Admin, so if you have any questions you can DM her Lady_Alice_Who
If you'd like to add an interest to the 'Join Me Doing' page, great! You can do so here.
People often say that one of the most significant factors in growing as a Christian was meeting regularly with one or two other Christians to read the Bible, talk openly and pray through their daily struggles, challenges and hopes.
This is usually more than just a Bible study, but a friendship of gospel influence - encouraging, praying, reminding, being an example, inspiring and caring.
This might be in the form of a regular one-to-one Bible study with a chat and prayer, a prayer triplet (or quad), a WhatsApp prayer group, a mentoring-type relationship of prayer and accountability, or it might simply be when two people at church become friends and naturally and 'organically' share Jesus' grace with each other. All of these things we describe as 'Gospel Friendships'.
Gospel friendships often start naturally, but we also encourage a culture of them more and more, and we will try to link you up with someone like-minded if you'd like us to make the initial connection.
Although these friendships are great, if they are the only way a person is connected to our church it can create an unhealthy context of power imbalance or dependence. For this reason, we only connect people for Gospel Friendships who are already connected in healthy ways with our wider church, such as being part of The Hub or a Connect Group, or serving on a Sunday Team.
Use the button below to get in touch if you're already involved in some way, but would also like to be connected to someone for a Gospel Friendship.

Praying Together Starter Pack
For some people, the idea of starting a prayer triplet might be a bit intimidating if you’re not sure what you’d pray for and what it might involve. For others they’ve tried but lost a bit of momentum.
We’ve created a ‘Starter Pack’ - in case anyone in that situation would find it helpful.
It gives an outline of how to pray with others for a few weeks, to help set a pattern you can continue on your own.
It’s flexible and optional, but we want to encourage you to download it and try it out and see if it’s the thing that gives you a bit more confidence, structure and purpose in praying with others.
