Read about our purpose & beliefs, meet our people, & learn about how we serve Liverpool as a city centre church.
We're ordinary people, from all walks of life, who have been brought together because of Jesus Christ.
Together we listen to the Bible explained, we sing and we pray to God. We enjoy growing in knowing who God is and what he's done for us as revealed in the Bible, and expressing that through loving and serving others in our church community and in our different communities in Liverpool.
About 150-200 people come to our weekly Sunday Services (on average!). Smaller groups meet across Liverpool during the week in homes, and at the Hub at our church centre.
Christ Church was planted back in the early 2000s, with the help of different churches in Liverpool, the North-West and further afield.
Ever since, we have been in different places around Liverpool, trying to reach the city for Jesus, and make him known!
We're very pleased to be networking with thse guys, who help us connect with other churces that share our vision.
We're affiliated with FIEC, a network of independent churches who work together from across England, Scotland and Wales.
Being part of FIEC links our church to a growing number of Independent evangelical churches and there are now more than 50,000 people who are part of churches affiliated to FIEC.
We're proud to be partnered with the North West Gospel Partnership, a group of churches from various denominations.
We believe that as we help each other in training leaders, encouraging one another, planting churches and helping Christians to keep the teaching of God's Word at the centre of church life, that God will grow His church.
Here are some of the organisations we support locally, resourcing them and praying for them.
Whether you’re exploring different beliefs, you're skeptical, you're of another faith or none, you’re very welcome.
We love people from different backgrounds and beliefs joining us to see what we're all about, whether that's tuning into services online, trying out a Sunday service, coming to our small groups.
Everyone is welcomed and respected.
We think questioning respectfully is really important and run some short courses for people interested in asking more questions about life, faith and Christian beliefs.
Whether you’re a Christian, exploring different beliefs, you're skeptical, you're of another faith or none, you’re very welcome.
There are events for everyone at CCL. Explore our website to learn more about our beliefs, what’s going on at the church, and how you can come as you are and get involved at our church.
