Hope Cumbria 2024

Hope Cumbria

Hope Cumbria is a 7-day residential ‘camp’ for 11-18 year-olds. There are a whole variety of activities that kids (and leaders!) can do throughout the week, but also morning dorm bible studies and evening meetings with bible teaching and worship.

It is a wonderful opportunity for young people to consider and deepen faith as the gospel is explained and lived out throughout the week. This is a brilliant opportunity to build relationships, chat through questions about faith and have lots of fun along the way! Hope Cumbria is a wonderful way to serve, while being encouraged through seeing the Lord at work in changing lives!

What can I do?

There are roles and opportunities to suit everyone across the 2 camps (Camp 1 – ages 11-14, and Camp 2 – ages 14-18). Both camps run simultaneously at the same site.

Task force: This is aimed at students/first timers – supporting different aspects of camp life from helping with meal times/clear up, running team games and supporting dorm leaders with Bible studies and activities. Task force have their own development programme with bible studies and team time, led by Matt and Jacky Waldock from City Church Manchester.

Dorm leaders: Looking after a group of young people for the week – building relationships and leading bible studies.

Support team: There are many other roles which make camp happen such as the kitchen team, activity leaders, drivers, tech team, first aiders…if you’d like to come, we can definitely find you a part to play!
